I went down on Saturday morning and the office was open. It was $92 taxes in for the basic membership. After what happened with the dead battery I realized it would be a wise precaution to have some coverage. The vehicle is 6 years old with over 150,000 km so it's kind of old vehicle insurance. Last time in the mechanic reminded me it was time for the timing belt. At 150,000 km its as long as it should have been left.

So I got timing belt and the stuff that is also usually changed at that time: water pump, other engine belts. He also did a bearing repair.

Now at regular strength the Bruins are getting around 3 goals a game. Now 3 / 60 is 5%. But it's actually higher as they aren't even strength the full 60 minutes.

My point is the Bruins score more frequently at regular strength than they do on the power play! I printed a couple pages early in the evening. Then later I turned it on again to print another page. But nothing happened, no response when turning it on.

It was an old printer, it came with my old computer which I bought over three years ago. At it was around three years old then. So pretty good lifespan for a printer. - story out of Mexico some Canadians say they were roughed up and the woman raped
- Ottawa story some woman fought a bunch of cops for some reason, lost the fight, now she's suing
- the usual anguish from the Toronto G20 some people are upset how their arrests were handled blah blah blah

I don't have a lot to add. I once worked for Zellers back in like around 1993. I needed a job back then so I've always been a bit grateful and tried to choose to shop at Zellers some of the time. Interesting it worked out to about $8 million per existing store which somehow seems like a premium.

I was in there before and it is a nice place. 

So the outside electronic message board is up and I drove past an announcement that helmets are now mandatory in public skates.

Sheesh! what a joke, a disgrace, an embarrassment. We've had public skates in Canada for about 100 years and we didn't need helmets. It's working properly again. He replaced the motherboard and the video card. Just in time since I didn't have a display. I'm glad to be back online; under warranty too so didn't even cost me anything.

Dell was very good about the warranty work. Thorough too with follow up.
